History History
Recorded as a red dog, Sam was bred by Mrs. Blewitt in 1933. Sired by Tobit, he was a littermate of the second recorded drop ear Norwich. He was owned by Mrs.Normandy Rodwell. He had 2 additional littermates and 20 full siblings, none of whom earned their title. With no half siblings on his dam's side, he had 16 half siblings on his sire's side, none completed their championship title. He was bred 5 tines producing 10 offspring including Ch. Applejack, the first prick ear American Champion dog. Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree. Sam was used to produce both ear types.
