A Grizzle and Tan, Miss Manette was the 2nd recorded Champion and the first Prick Ear Norwich Champion, bred and owned by Mrs. P. Fagan in 1934 and qualifying for her title in 1936. Although she was a singleton puppy she had 4 full siblings including Tatty Coram.. She had 3 half siblings on her dam's side and her 4 half siblings on her sire's side included Eng. Ch. Airman's Brown Smudge, another significant historical Norfolk. She was bred 4 times,(twice to Bingo of Boxted) producing one champion among a total of 7 offspring. From Frank Rogers, "She won many Challenge Certificates, 11 in all, a record which held for 19 years, until beaten by Jericho Hill Vixen, who eventually won 14 Challenge Certificates, and came out of retirement at the age of nine years to win her 14th. Miss Manette was by Smudge, and Smudge was also the sire of Mrs. Rodwells’ “Airman’s Brown Smudge”, the First Drop-Eared Champion of the Breed." Her dam was a full sister to the first champion, Ch. Biffin of Beaufin
