History History
A red dog, Pound was bred in 1957 by Barbara Fournier of Bethway and owned by Mrs. Stevens Baird of Bernardsville, NJ. She had an inbreeding coefficient of 18.7%, no full siblings but did have one littermate, Ch. Bethway's Pence. There were no champions among the 11 paternal half siblings but 3 of his maternal half siblings did earn their title and all maternal half siblings carried the Bethway prefix. Pound was bred 21 times to a wide variety of bitches to produce 31 get with two champions to his credit.
