History History
One of the last two Colonsay Champions and handled by Miss Alice Hazeldine (who inherited Colonsay and followed with her own Ickworth line), Jane was bred in 1963 with an inbreeding coefficient of 34.2%. She held the only title among her litter of 5. None of Jane's 3 full siblings were titled. She had 65 paternal half-siblings, only one of which was titled. Of her 24 maternal half-siblings there were 5 champions. Jane was bred 4 times (twice to the significant sire Eng. Ch. Ickworth Ready) to produce a total of 8 puppies, none titled. She was bred once to Eng. Ch. Colonsay Red Tabs (one of the last two Colonsay Champions) and once to the significant sire Eng. Ch. Colonsay Orderly Dog.
