Little Jane (of Biffin) was owned by Mrs. Mainwaring and considered by breed founders to excel in head, expression and coat. The dam of several important producers (though none were champions), her son Tiny Tim of Biffin became the founder of the late Miss MacFie's Colonsay drop ear line. Another son David Copperfield was a strong influence on early prick ear winners. She also was grand dam of U.S.A.'s first D.E. champion dog black and tan Ch. Colonsay All Kiff. Her descendants in the ring today are mostly drop eared. Little Jane is the universal dam of drop ear Norwich and Norfolk everywhere. Jane was bred only 3 times, all to Eng. Ch. Biffin Of Beaufin, producing 6 puppies in total. Tiny Tim of Biffin was probably her most notable offspring. Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree. Jane was a singleton puppy with one full sibling that did not earn his championship. There were no half siblings on her sire's side and among the 13 half siblings on her dam's side, Ch. Merry of Beaufin was the only champion. Her daughter Dawn of Cynval strongly influenced the Colonsays through her son, Snelston Rogue. Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree.
