Ginger was bred by Barbara Miller of Max-Well in 1976 with an inbreeding coefficient of 24.5% with 3 littermates and 1 full sibling. One of her littermates completed his championship so that 50% of that litter completed their titles. There were no half siblings on her sire's side and of the 3 half siblings on her dam's side, one earned his title. Barbara Miller says “in 1978 ...(Ginger) completed her championship taking 4 majors in the Bred-By-Exhibitor classes and produced her first litter by Am.Can.Ch. Ickworth Nimrod. Of that litter, Ethel Phillips took Ch. Maxwell’s Lady Chatterly. Cliff Hallmark finished “Bugs” as she was affectionately known, at thirteen months. Frank Rogers and Ed Resovsky took “Hank” (Ch. Maxwell’s O’Henry) who with three majors finished under Barbara Keenan at Elm City going Best of Breed over Ch. El Cid of Tinkenswood. “Hank” is the first American Norfolk to gain championship points since the division of the breed. Three of her four breedings were to the significant sire Am.Can. Ch. Ickworth Nimrod with 5 of the resulting 6 puppies earning their championship. Ginger's 4th breeding was to Ch. Max-Well Saturday Nite Fever to produce 2 puppies, one of which earned his championship. Ginger was the #1 Brood Bitch with 7 champions for some time.
