History History
The foundation bitch for Colonsay, Whisper was bred in 1936 by Miss M.S. Macfie and owned by Miss P. McCausland of Kedron Kennels. Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree. She was registered as brown, she had no full siblings but one of her two littermates earned her title. Though she had no half siblings on her dam's side, she had 65 half siblings on her sire's side, one of which earned a title. Whisper was bred 4 times to 3 different stud dogs for a total of 14 offspring, none champions. According to Joan Read's book, she was imported after winning 1 C.C. in England.
