History History
The 11th recorded champion in the breed, Banger was bred by his owner Mrs. P. Fagan in 1946 with an inbreeding coefficient of 31.4%. He was a singleton puppy with no full siblings or half siblings on his dam's side and one non-champion half sibling on his sire's side. Banger was bred five times producing only singleton puppies with the exception of his first breeding which produced two puppies. From that first breeding Eng. Ch. Whinlatter Jim emerged as Banger's only champion get. Banger was reported as pinkie coloured. NOTE: It is presumed that Banger carried the drop ear gene as he appears in some mixed ear carriage pedigrees.
