History History
Bred in 1937 by Miss M.S.S. Macfie and imported by Miss J. Hinkle of Port Fortune Kennels, Her 3 littermates and 17 full siblings all carried the Colonsay prefix. One of the 47 half siblings on her sire's side earned her championship but none of the 7 half siblings on her dam's side earned their title. She proved to be a grand foundation bitch carrying the dark color gene. Her most influential descendant, Port Fortune The Ace, would have been "a sure champion in any terrier man's book, but for the war". Note the mixed ear carriage in this pedigree.
