The 19th champion of record Dusty was a red bitch bred in 1948 by Mrs. E.T. Jancey with an inbreeding coefficient of 17.1% . He had 3 littermates (Dandy, Della, Dinah who do not appear in any drop ear pedigree) but no recorded full siblings or maternal half siblings and had only one paternal half sibling which was not titled. He was bred one time to produce 5 puppies, none of which earned a title. Dusty likely carried the drop ear gene through Ch. Wychdale Napoleon and Eng. Ch. Farndon Red Dog. There are two different recorded owners, Mrs. M.L. Cooke and Miss M. Barney and from old publications it would appear Dusty was owned by Miss Barney at the time she was shown. In 1953 she won the CC at Crufts.Dinah and Dusty were the first brother/sister recorded Champions of Record.
