Born in 1947 Romeo had a low inbreeding coefficient for the time of 10.8%. Although his sole littermate did not achieve her title, his two full siblings did, both Farndon dogs. He had only one half sibling on his sire's side and no half siblings on his dam's side, but the one half sibling on his sire's side was a champion. Romeo's impact on the breed was somewhat limited, as he was bred only 4 times producing a total of only 5 offspring with only one of them a champion. Farndon Romeo has left his mark by leaving some very good children, the best known being the three good sisters: Ch. Jericho Hill Vixen, mother of Int. Ch. Jericho Punch and Dutch Ch. Jericho Piper; Farndon Sandal, the mother of Ch. Sandalbeck Lancer and grandmother of Ch. Whinlatter Cob; and of Farndon Sabot, the grandmother of Ragus Good Companion and Goodfellow. Romeo produced Thorndale Alert, out of a drop-eared bitch of Miss Sylvia Warren’s named River Bend Jiffy, and she in turn is a daughter of a prick ear and a drop ear, ---Mrs. A.C. Randolph’s Ch Paul Jones of Groton, out of Miss Sylvia Warren’s Puff – the latter a daughter of the famous Ch Tuff.
